Nairobi – Kampala
Early Morning
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, complete immigration formalities. You will be met by our representative for a briefing on your safari and then transferred to Kampala for your overnight stay.
Overnight: Kampala Serena Hotel
Basis: Bed and breakfast
Transit time: Approx. 45 minutes
After breakfast, depart Kampala and head west through Mubende, arriving in Fort Portal for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through a vanilla plantation, explore the crater lakes for birding, or take a cultural village walk.
Overnight: Ndali Lodge or Kyaninga Lodge

Transit time: Approx. 6 hours
Start the day with breakfast before heading into the forest for a morning chimpanzee trekking adventure. Be on the lookout for the rare Red Colobus, Grey-Cheeked Mangabey, and other primates.
In the afternoon, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you’ll experience a closer encounter with nature and more wildlife.

After breakfast, journey south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with a picnic lunch en route. Pass through the Ishasha Plains, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Arrive at Buhoma, the staging area for gorilla trekking, in the evening.

Begin your first gorilla trekking adventure after an early breakfast. Accompanied by rangers and trackers, navigate through dense forest vegetation to locate a gorilla family.
After spending an unforgettable hour with the gorillas, enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Buhoma Lodge for relaxation.

Trekking time: 30 minutes to 8 hours
Embark on a second gorilla trek, this time with a different group of gorillas. The experience will be equally magical and provide new insights into their behavior.
After the trek, relax at the lodge with cocktails, wines, and sodas on the viewing deck overlooking the forest.
Overnight: Buhoma Lodge

Trekking time: 30 minutes to 8 hours
After breakfast, take a scenic drive back to Kampala through the stunning landscapes of the Kigezi Highlands and the Ankole region, home to Uganda’s famous long-horned cattle.
Arrive in Kampala by evening.

Transit time: Approx. 9–10 hours
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
